My lesson

Friday, May 30, 2014

Article not written by me o. But enjoy...:-)
This fateful Saturday morning, as I try to conclude my washing, I hear my phone beep but I ignore thinking it must be a notification from one of these social networks.
Two hours have passed, I have had a bath, eaten and about to take a nap when my phone beeps again. ‘Nice pix cutie’, ‘kfb’ the twitter notifications read… I was surprised to have been noticed because of my lack of involvement in social networks due to my tight schedule at work… curious, I checked his profile , it read  ‘My name is Greg, I work with Exxon Mobil, a Christian  and I am here to make  new friends’ . Few seconds later I received a direct message from Greg. I got more interested as the conversation grew.

After weeks of chatting day and night we picked a dinner date.

Excited, I showed up in my Josie Natori dress, Jimmy Choo shoes and Louis Vuitton purse. Greg looked like a happy groom in his black suit. Love filled the air as the whole of the five star hotel couldn’t contain us. Greg treated me to the best first date ever and just when I thought we had it all together, a pregnant woman and two little girls walked towards us screaming ‘ Daddy!’ ‘Daddy!’ The scale fell of my eyes when this woman gave me the slap of my life calling me a husband snatcher and all sorts. She dragged Greg by his belt and threatened to pluck out my eyes if she finds me anywhere around her husband as they walked out of the five star hotel…

It dawned on me the whole VIP treatment, expensive food and drinks was on me when the waiter gave me our bill of 17,450 naira. Confused, I tried to search through my purse as if I was expecting to find money in it, then a lady on the next table calls my attention, showing me my Payment Card that fell out of my purse earlier. Reluctant, I picked it up but then it struck a chord, a hotel this big should offer e-payment options and so I asked for a POS which was promptly provided. I was relieved, I was saved.

I guess I learnt my lesson…

Ladies, would you wear this miraculous strapless G-string?

For those who like to go commando and end up embarrassing themselves when photographers zoom in into their area...there might be a solution. A US lingerie company has invented a strapless panty for those who don't like any hint of visible panty line under their clothes.

It's called Shibue Strapless Panty and its a self-adhesive strip of polyester fabric, with a cotton lining and silicone strips, that reaches from the top of your lady regions back to the tip of your tailbone, and it can be washed and worn repeatedly. (some ladies wearing it above)

According to the lingerie company "The panty has no sides to leave unwanted lines, indentations, or bulges. Even your most stubborn outfit will succumb to the flawless look offered by Shibue panty".

It's the first and only strapless panty in the market and it costs $15, which is about N2k. Would you ladies wear this? For those interested, you can find out more on their website - here

'Old women still have sexual urges' - actress Taiwo Ajai-Lycett says

Friday, May 30, 2014

While promoting her stage play, Hear Word, where she plays a sexually active old woman, veteran actress Taiwo Ajai-Lycett, said old people still enjoy sex and some are quite sexually active.
"I am an old woman in the play and in real life. I am 73. The society doesn't think older women exist anymore, nobody thinks they feel anything. The people around old women never realize they are going through a turmoil, nobody cares about them. So what I am trying to portray is that it's not over until it is over. That an old woman is still alive in more ways than one, they still have sexual urges, people forget an old woman is human. An old woman enjoys her sexual life more when she no longer thinks about children's school fees, when the children have all gone to their husband's houses or in some cases the boys have married and it remains only the old woman and her husband. It never crosses our mind that these old parents can still get on whenever they like. Do you know that when an old man realizes he is free from child bearing, he becomes promiscuous and they are susceptible to all kinds of diseases. But the old woman is confined to a corner in the house, nobody thinks she is still actually active" she said

As we gather here today to see you wailing, by the grace of God, we will also gather here to dance and rejoice with you when the girls regain their freedom" it read
The spokesperson of the committee said the people were elated to see them and asked that their message of hope and belief that the girls would be found be delivered to the President. A young Chibok boy named Ibrahim Tilitili has confessed to razing a few houses in his small village in Mandara Girau village in Biu LGA of Borno state, Vanguard reports. Ibrahim later claimed a man named Mallam Sani, also a resident of the village, gave him N2,000 to carry out the arson.

'There is nothing wrong in making a 30 year old a Minister but..' GEJ

While answering questions at an interactive session marking Democracy Day at the International Conference center, President Jonathan said he has no reservations about appointing a youth as a Minister but said the elders must be around to guide the youth in carrying out the responsibilities of a Minister. He sid young people need the experiences of the elders to pilot the affairs of Nigeria.
"You talk about mentors. I'm not saying youths cannot do certain jobs. anybody from the age of 25 and above can do any job. I remember when Rivers state was created, I was a Rivers man before Bayelsa state was created. The first Rivers state Military Governor Diete Spiff was about 28years old when he was appointed the military Governor of Rivers state. Gowon when he became Head of State was about 33years old so my Governor and the Head of State were youths but they worked with elders because I remember the cabinet members of Rivers state then were very matured people working with Diete Spiff and that is why I remember one of our elders, Maitama Sule when he was speaking at the University of Port Harcourt, made the statement that young breed without the old breed will breed greed so you must mix. The best person to take care of a child may not be a child so you need somebody with some level of experience to mentor the youths. You cannot leave the teenagers there to get into the youth age before you mentor them. Start from them and the first person to mentor a young person is someone that has made some mistakes. Let us say a young lady, while in secondary school have affairs with a man and gets pregnant and had complications and couldn't graduate when her colleagues graduated. Along the line, she finds her path and goes back to the secondary school, completes her University. She can tell another young girl look this is my experience. Please don't go that way, see this is my experience. So a Minister of Youth development can be a very young person, anybody of 25years and above can manage that but the key thing is that in the cabinet we have only one youth. There is nothing wrong in making a 30-33 years a Minister of Petroleum or Finance if you are competent."
