Pics: Soldiers on rampage in Palmgrove, damage BRT buses

Some soldiers are currently causing chaos in the Palmgroove area of Lagos. An eye-witness said trouble started when a BRT bus hit a soldier on a bike. Nobody knows if the soldier died (though there are indications that he may have been crushed to death) but other soldiers immediately arrived the scene and started stopping all BRT buses on Ikorodu road beating drivers and sending passengers out. Beating even passers-by who move too close to them or take pictures.

According the eye-witness who sent in the photos, two civilians were allegedly beaten up and a guy who was taking pictures was beaten and his phone smashed on the express road.

Then the soldiers allegedly started vandalizing the buses! According to the source, some soldiers left the express and took big sticks from women cooking by the roadside to break the windows of the buses. Then one of them took stones and allegedly threw it into the crowd twice. Now the whole express is blocked. See more pics......

The 4 Nigerians including a 10year old die in horrific auto-crash in Ireland

Three Nigerian women and a 10year old Nigerian girl were killed in a horrific car crash on Saturday morning June 28th when their Nissan Almera car (pictured inside the bushes) collided with an SUV (pictured being towed) at Portnashangan, just outside of Mullingar, in Ireland, Irish Mirror reports.

All four occupants of the car, including a mother and her child, were pronounced dead at the scene by emergency services and later taken to Mullingar General Hospital for post-mortem. The man driving the SUV suffered only minor injuries.

The accident victims have been identified as cousins Queen Esezbor and Fanny Oraweme Akenbor, said to bee in their 40s, and Pat Jeti and her 10-year-old daughter, Jessica.

They were said to be returning from an evangelical church vigil in the Finglas area of Dublin when the unfortunate accident occurred. May their  perfect souls rest in bosom of God..

Singer Mya denies affair with Jay Z

Singer Mya has denied reports that she's Jay Z's longtime mistress. There was a recent blind item suggesting Mya and Jay Z have been in an 11 year affair, with the rapper allegedly financially supporting her. But Mya says it is 100% false.

Mya denied the reports on instagram today after a fan asked her if it was true. "Heard you and Jay Z had an 11 year affair. Are you his side chick or nah?" the fan asked

Mya replied;

Never did, never was, never will. Illegitimate, thirsty sources with no facts and that's the 'media' for you - especially today. I play second to no one, pay my own bills, have my own label, own management company, rely on God only and respect myself & marriage too much for nonsense."

False rumors are crafted for ratings & numbers. And miserable, unhappy people need someone to judge to deter the attention away from their own misery and feel better about their miserable lives. If they did it to Jesus, they'll do it to anyone. God bless."

The Security man in Palmgrove Estate battered after soldier is killed by BRT bus

So it's been confirmed that a BRT bus killed a soldier at Palmgrove bus stop in Palmgrove, Lagos this morning, which caused the soldier rampage.

The BRT driver who hit the soldier ran into Palmgrove estate in order to avoid the wrath of other soldiers present. Upon noticing that the driver ran away, the Army men ran into Palmgrove estate and when they couldn't find the driver, seized one of the Estate's security men. (pictured above)

According to eye-witnesses, the soldiers beat the man mercilessly and took him away.

He was released hours later badly beaten and traumatized. He had nothing to do with the incident but paid for it. Sad! Heard they even burnt down a BRT bus. Is their anger justified?

It supposedly started after some models posing as bride and bridesmaids did a photo shoot in wedding attires showing off their derrieres for an underwear campaign...and now real brides and bridesmaids think it's cool and have started doing it. Sometimes they wear matching underwear...and sometimes they go as far as showing off their bare bottom.

The Prophet Ajanaku to be finally buried almost a year after he died

The remains of clergyman & founder of Christ Revival Victory Chapel International Lagos, Prophet Iretiola Ajanaku, who died 11 months ago on August 22nd 2013, will finally be laid to rest on July 17th 2014.

 

Late Prophet Ajanaku's widow, Joy Ajanaku and some elders of the church had refused to bury him all this while because they were convinced he will rise again but have now accepted that once a man is really dead, he's really dead.

 

In a statement released by the church's media personnel, Shola Bamidele, a lying-in-state will be held at the Church premises and then interred in his home. See the statement after the cut...

"Our Father, a true icon of God and Founder of the Christ Revival Victory Chapel International , Prophet Ajanaku, who passed away on Saturday August 17th 2013, shall be laid to rest onThursday July 17th 2014. This burial ceremony is intended to put to rest all post death controversy surrounding the life and ministry of this great man of God. It is also an opportunity for us to show our gratitude to thousands of well meaning Nigerians, churches and honorable people that have since stood by the church and family he left behind. As part of the Funeral arrangement, their would be a lying-in-state at the heaedquaters of the ministry at 17, Koya Akinwale street, off Aina Obembe street, Baruwa bus stop, Ayobo Ipaja Lagos, between 9 and 11am while Interment follows thereafter at his home, Prophet Ajanaku lives on" the statement read

The Radio station intern claims French Montana tried to 'date rape' her

A college student and radio station intern named Mariela Sanchez (pictured right) is claiming that Khloe Kardashian's boo, French Montana, attempted to 'date rape' her when she tried to interview him a while back...

Pics: Snakes tangled in electric wires

A LIB reader who lives in Benin sent in the pics. Says they, residence of Market Road in Ekosodin, Benin City, woke up this morning July 2nd to find several snakes bunched up and tangled in the electric wires in the street.

"We have been confused and keep on wondering just how they got there. We eventually looked for a way to get rid of them by removing them and using the electric power to burn them. We don't know the means by which they got there o, whether its through spiritual means, we are still wondering. May God help us" He said

Reminds me of that final scene in the Indian movie, Snake Girl. Remember when the snake girl fell from a building as a snake, landed on a railing and then changed into a human being? #runningthinz

Pics/video: Kwara police uncovers ritualist den in Illorin

The Kwara state Police command yesterday July 1st uncovered a ritualist den at Eyekorin road in Illorin, the Kwara state capital following a tip-off. The police, led by the state Police Commissioner, Ambrose Aisabor, stormed an uncompleted building where a decomposing headless body, human parts and some murder weapons were found.

Speaking on the discovery, the Police Commissioner said the place is believed to have been a human parts market were people who are involved in ritual activities go to purchase human parts.

"When you get there you would see particles of human parts scattered so we believe that place has been a human parts market where people who are involved in rituals  and ritual activities go to purchase human parts" he said. Continue to see more photos and video...

No arrest has been made but according to the Commissioner, an 85 year old woman and other random people are being interrogated.

He sought for a continued Police - Public synergy between the Kwara state residents and the police so as to stamp out crime in the state.
