Demolition: Hoodlums Attack, Beat 5 Policemen

Five policemen attached to the Lagos State government who
went to mark a house for demolition in Amukoko area of the metropolis,
on Tuesday, escaped death by the whiskers when hoodlums attacked them.
The policemen led by one Inspector Nosiru were said to have come from the Lagos State Secretariat, Alausa, Ikeja.
LEADERSHIP gathered that the policemen who came to the property on Owodoni Street in two vehicles, including a van with the inscription, Badagry Local Government were attacked by some hoodlums who argued that the area was not under Badagry locality.
The house in question is said to be situated along the road and the government would not allow that.
LEADERSHIP investigation revealed that the five policemen who came from the secretariat did not make their presence in the area known to the officers and men attached to the Amukoko police station.
A witness, who gave his name as Udoka, disclosed that the hoodlums beat the policemen severely and inflicted a machete cut on the head of one of them and also vandalised the two vehicles they came in.
