U.S. President Donald Trump has filed a lawsuit against the British Broadcasting Corporation. 

He accuses the BBC of:

- defaming him by presenting a manipulated statement from a speech he made before the January 6th attack on the Capitol, 

- violating Florida's unfair trade practices laws. 

For each of these acts, Trump is seeking $5B.
